All week I’ve been humming Penguinpig songs to myself..... That’s because on Tuesday I went to see the preview of Penguinpig THE PLAY at Louth Playgoers Riverhead Theatre!!
I’m so excited to see the book which I illustrated just over a year ago, now turned into a play by TRAUM THEATRE.
Penguinpig is an interactive play, which, like the book approaches e-safety in an exciting and accessible way for children. It uses gorgeous puppetry, catchy songs and a fun and child-centred narrative story.
Listening to the specially composed songs, seeing and hearing all the characters in 3D and listening to the audiences reactions (especially the childrens) for me was so surreal, just like magic and an absolute
dream come true.
I’m very proud of the journey Penguinpig has been on in its short existence. It's already become a number 1 seller on Amazon, received 5 star reviews, been turned into an audio book (with Cebeeies Rebecca Courtney), it’s now a play and I've just finished adding the tweaks to the 2nd edition of the book!!
If all this can happen in just 1 year – I can’t help but wonder where Penguinpig will be in the next 5 years?
From 2nd April – 15th May 2016, Penguinpig will embark on a tour, visiting venues and schools around the country. To book your visit or for more information please email Jane Crawshaw at email@example.com, or call 07857145034
